I had the privilege of working with Steve for four years at DfT, and he was a wonderful colleague and friend. I’ve never known a Civil Servant to work so hard, to be so dedicated, or to build relationships and to influence ministers like Steve did. I loved working with Steve, and will really miss his friendship, his kindness, and his humour. Tony
