In Private Office in the early 1990s, Friday was the day teams sent up their homework for the Minister to mark. All hand-delivered in folders. One regular we dubbed "The Boy" because of his youthful demeanour and boundless enthusiasm. While others (like me) have withered disgracefully, Steve retained that fresh-faced look and never seemed any less enthusiastic than the day he started. His passing is painful but the memories of him cause nothing but smiles.  May he rest in peace. Anthony Ferguson
