Steve was the first person I met when I joined the department way back in 2004 and he made me feel part of the team from day one. He was a true gentleman, always available and never too busy for an impromptu chat. I will miss our bumping into each other in the lifts or canteen and having a catch up. he was one of the most respected, hardworking people I knew and he will always be an inspiration to me and so many.
