Terribly sad news. As a fresh faced Fast Stream economist, Steve was one of my favourite people to work with. Not only was I amazed that he treated me as an equal despite being far more knowledgeable than me, but he always backed me and his team, and was a brilliant straight talker who spoke his mind with clarity and credibility.
